About agrinfo
Agriculture is one of the leading sectors in Tanzania accounting for at least 24% of the GDP, 30% of total exports and 65% of raw materials for Tanzanian industries.
Tanzania’s agricultural sector has played a key role in the last 25 years contributing to a general decline in poverty thanks to the country’s fertile arable lands.
Over the years, there have been campaigns to steer the agricultural sector to better standards and farmers now have better working conditions and this has seen a rise in the production levels and quality. Agrinfo would like to see these figures rise even more in the future as there is so much potential in this sector of the economy. Therefore, we have strive to increase efficiency through use of information technologies to collect and analyze data so as to give insights to farmers and the value chain players and enable their decision making process.Our products and services allow us to mobilize efforts to contribute to 4 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Our products are in three categories:
A. Agrotech:
- 1. Jembe:A precision ag-tech platform that offers a full stack solution for high precision aerial surveillance imagery to pre-emptively avert crop yield loss due to insects, crop disease, weeds and nutrient deficiencies
- 2. Keep an eye on Poultry Business:Lay-Insight, Broiler-Insight, Turkey-Insight and Duck-Insight are strong, innovative management tools for the poultry industry, based on scientific self-learning algorithms, using your enterprise data to further improve and optimize your production and business process. They are designed to support managers in taking proper decisions concerning their daily business, as well as the strategic decisions they are facing.
Fintech:
- 3. Mobis: A cloud-based microfinance management platform designed uniquely to help savings and loans cooperatives go paperless and become more efficient by digitizing how they manage customer data and transactions.

Partnered with WeRobotics
Partnered with WeRobotics, Tanzania Flying Labs and gathered field data in rural Tanzania for the NASA Harvest Consortium’s “Pre-Harvest loss for smallholder farmers” initiative in collaboration with IFPRI and University of Maryland.
